The Eleanor King Community Outreach, Inc. d/b/a Family Ting Production is a registered 501 (c) 3 - Not-for-Profit Organization in Broward County since 2010. We are a member of the Florida Association of Nonprofits and a Certified Florida Nonprofit. Our organization is built on service!
The Mission of the organization is to provide social assistance to disadvantaged individuals and families in the local and global community through our Feeding and Clothing Initiative.
Our Vision is to foster a world where the least of us is fed and clothed and to make a meaningful contribution to humanity.
What We Do?
We advocate for needy and disadvantaged individuals and families in the local and extended community by taking incremental steps towards making monumental change. Since 2010, FamilyTing has met the critical needs of underserved and needy individuals in our community. It is with the zeal to help others we are excited to report that within the past fourteen (almost fifteen)years we have provided meals to approximately 8,000 individuals (an astounding estimated 59,000 meals) and made financial contributions and donations to several organizations: e.g., Broward County Public Schools H.E.A.R.T Program (which focuses on homeless children). We also partner with other entities in the Caribbean in Barbados, Jamaica, Haiti, Belize, and St Vincent & The Grenadines.
Employing our FAST - Feed, Assist, Support and Transform ModelTM - we endeavor to impact the lives of needy individuals and families we encounter in Broward County and beyond. Our goals are to:
Feed those who are hungry.
Assist those who are struggling.
Support those who may need a “helping hand” and ultimately
Transform their lives to being upstanding citizens in our community.
Our services include providing blankets and donated clothing, hygiene products, conducting our homeless feeding program, food pantry distribution and directing those individuals requiring additional services to the proper governmental agencies. Last year, we assisted 12 families (16 adults/25 children) with food from our food pantry; served 6645 meals to the homeless; provided clothing, shoes & blankets to 1600 individuals & families; distributed 640 care packages; and gave gifts to 220 homeless children for Christmas.
