Stacy Rose was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. At the age of 15, she migrated to the United States to reunite with her parents, who had moved ahead years earlier to pave the way for her and her younger brother to pursue the American Dream. She continued her education at Miami-Dade Community College, Florida State University, and Florida International University, earning both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in International Business and Marketing.
Stacy’s love for the performing arts began early. At just nine years old, she made her stage debut in a production with her church’s drama troupe. She quickly found success in regional and national speech and drama competitions across Jamaica. After relocating to the U.S., her passion for the stage and screen only deepened. While completing her academic journey, she stayed connected to her roots in the arts, performing in numerous theatrical productions and gradually expanding into film, television, commercials, voiceover, radio, and print work.
Her impressive body of work includes roles in The Rookie, 9-1-1, Outer Banks, First Wives Club, Hightown, and Dolphin Tale, to name a few. She gained widespread recognition for her recurring role as “Dr. Robbins” opposite Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on HBO’s hit series Ballers, appearing across three seasons. More recently, she starred in the award-winning film Life.., which received honors at multiple film festivals both domestically and internationally. For her performance, Stacy earned the Best Actress award at the Los Angeles Indie Short Film Fest. She can currently be seen in Little America, the acclaimed Apple TV+ anthology series. Stacy has also stepped behind the scenes, producing the feature film Break the Stage, released in 2021.
For many years, Stacy has dedicated herself to mentoring and working with young people in theatrical productions—guiding them both artistically and personally through workshops, stage plays, and community initiatives. Her commitment to service extends beyond the stage, as she actively gives back to communities in both the United States and the Caribbean. She has led numerous school supply and hospital supply drives, helping provide much-needed resources to underserved children, families, and healthcare facilities.
In addition to her work in entertainment and community service, Stacy has a strong presence in radio. For over a decade, she has hosted Island Praise, an internationally syndicated Caribbean Gospel music show broadcast weekly across Africa, the Caribbean, the Pacific, and the United States. She also co-hosts the Love Doc & Stacy Rose Show, a dynamic weekly radio program in South Florida that blends music, talk, and community topics—bringing inspiration, insight, and heart to the airwaves
